A big part of any base station is the base antenna or antennas. Sometimes, we have to climb up on the roof, or climb a pole to get and antenna where it needs to be.
This is the most common base station antenna that we use on our systems, a UHF Yagi directional antenna.
For one client, we set up a complete police communications center, including a radio system with base station radios, networked computers with Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) software, and North Carolina Division of Criminal Information (DCI) access. When this picture was taken, they still had their old telephone system, which has since been upgraded.
